Operational Key Account Manager

We are strengthening our logistics consulting team in Langenfeld and are currently seeking a permanent full-time Operational Key Account Manager (m/f/d) - Logistics.

4PL Central Station Deutschland GmbH is Europe's leading provider of Fourth Party Logistics (4PL) services and operates as an independent general contractor, designing and operating customer-specific logistics solutions with its logistics expertise. The 4PL Central Station Group currently employs over 200 logistics professionals in various locations in Europe. In Germany, at the Langenfeld location, we are one of the rapidly growing subsidiaries of Swiss Central Station AG.

Your responsibilities as the new Operational Key Account Manager (m/f/d) could not be more diverse!

  • Responsibility for the development of strategic customers (Key Account Management)
  • Building and developing customer relationships, as well as planning and coordinating services, resource requirements, team composition, and leadership
  • Designing, sourcing, and negotiating international transport and logistics services
  • Conceiving and calculating internal and external business cases
  • Evaluating, testing, and implementing transport and logistics concepts, as well as optimizing our customers' transport and network structures
  • Independent evaluation and reporting of logistics metrics, providing recommendations, and presenting to clients
  • Analyzing market trends, creating benchmarks, and identifying new suppliers

What you bring as an Operational Key Account Manager (m/f/d):

  • Experience in leading and executing logistics projects
  • Solid knowledge of analyzing, evaluating, and optimizing transportation flows and processes
  • Proficient in MS Office products, with an IT affinity for specific applications in the logistics field
  • Excellent communication skills at both the management and operational levels
  • Self-reliant and team-oriented work style with good time management
  • Solid English skills
  • Willingness to travel
